Maintaining favorable
profit margins requires that you have accurate, up-to-the-minute information
about production activity. With the AddonSoftware Shop Floor Control
application, you get all the detail you need in a comprehensive, easy-to-use
system. The system helps you smoothly schedule that activity and achieve maximum
performance from your production floor.
On-target tracking
improves efficiency and shortens lead time
You'll be able to plan
your shop floor procedures efficiently. Automatically schedule each work order,
either forward from the start date or backward from the completion date. Use the
AddonSoftware MRP interface to automatically generate planned work orders for
truly efficient manufacturing. You can plan work center activity with the Load
Balance display and the Dispatch Display or Inquiry.
Get control of work in process through complete tracking of work orders as they
move through the shop floor. You can review the progress and current status of
each job by opening windows, and you're alerted to any trouble spots with the
Bottleneck Analysis Report and the Production Exception Report.
Reduce your manufacturing lead time by using work order history to compare your
standard lead times against actual production lead times. And, you can use the
Labor Costs Analysis Report to monitor efficiency and utilization factors.
AddonSoftwareShop
Floor Control is an easy-to-use system that saves time and resources
-
You'll
stay in control of jobs and costs with work-in-progress tracking.
Work orders collect, store, and report the costs of material,
labor, overhead, and outside purchases related to the manufacture
of a specific batch, job, group of items, or single item. After a
work order is issued and until it is closed, the costs associated
with the work order are accounted for in work in process.
-
Stock
and Non-Stock type work orders allow the manufacture of repetitive
or job shop processes. Custom work orders may be easily defined by
using work order history or by modifying an existing or similar
bill of materials.
-
On-line
work order information is always available for you to review the
current status of each operation or job. You can display the
current status, scheduled completion dates, and cost information.
-
Complete
control of inventory is easier with AddonSoftware. While a work
order is in process, components are committed and not available
for other issues or sales. Finished goods are put on order until
the job is complete, and lot or serial numbers can be issued or
created with complete audit trails.
-
You
can quickly retrieve work orders and locate them by customer,
item, or work order number. During work order entry, code lookups
increase operator speed and accuracy.
-
You'll
have the ability to track planned and quoted work orders by
entering work order information to calculate costs. Then, view any
material shortages and the planned schedule before releasing the
job to the floor.
-
Plan
your shop floor schedule, then easily check schedules with the
Shop Floor Dispatch Report or inquiry screen. You can obtain an
overview of workloads by using the Load Balance Inquiry.
-
A
baseline for scheduling is established for you with Shop Floor
Calendars for each work center. The calendar sets the available
hours for each center, with holidays and days off defined, making
it easy for you to maintain schedules.
-
Variance
tracking is achieved through extensive cost accounting procedures.
You'll have complete tracking and reporting of the differences
between actual and standard costs for all material and labor.
-
You'll
save time through automatically generated purchase orders for
subcontracted services. The AddonSoftware Shop Floor Control
module batches requirements for newly entered orders, then tracks
subcontract purchase order status. The work order indicates
whether purchase orders have been requisitioned, ordered, or
received. The close process includes a verification that all
purchases have been received.
