Application data and other specified files are downloaded nightly through the Internet using a secure encrypted connection. Two days of this data are stored and are available for recovery and immediate access. The files are stored in an inactive directory and archived to tape the following night. If access becomes necessary, the application and files can be made available very quickly using the Emergency Response Package. This offers an ideal method for offsite data storage and recovery in the event of a hardware failure or other catastrophic event.
